This top fermented trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
De Verboden Vrucht€ 6,00

Martha Brown Eyes (33cl – 12%)€ 6,00This dark black beer in quadruple style with a second fermentation in the bottle is inspired by the best beers from Belgian Trappist brewers. The beer has a light brown dense foam head. Pleasant fruity scents of apple, candied pear, ripe strawberry and cherries with a slightly spicy touch of anise, licorice and caramel, warming in the nose. In the middle caramel comes up again, with many notes of dried fruit, and accents of caramel, coffee and chocolate from the roasted malt. A balanced and soft bitterness that flows into an intensively heated alcoholic finale, covered with a robust head.
Rochefort 10 (33cl – 11,30%)€ 6,50Although written records of brewing at Rochefort date to 1595, Rochefort 10 was developped in the late 1940's and early 50's. It appears on virtually every list of the world's finest beers. It has a dark brown colour. Its great strenght is that it is balanced by a complexity of flavours and it has a firm malt backbone. The bouquet covers a wild range : port wine, leather, apricots, oak and spices.
Sint Jan Diest (33cl – 10,00%)€ 6,00Sint Jan Diest is an oparaque dark brown beer with a good frothy beige head. St. Bernardus Abt 12 (33cl – 10,50%)€ 6,00St. Bernardus Abt 12 is a dark beer with a full ivory coloured head. Worldwide seen as one of the best beers with a full bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter and sweet. Shortly after the second world war the trappist monasterry St Sixtus in Westvleteren was looking for somebody to commercialise their beer because they didn't want to do that themselves anymore.
